Africa-Press – Botswana. Xanagas farm has been earmarked for small stock production and it will be subdivided into portions to be leased to investors.

Minister of Agriculture Mr Fidelis Molao told Parliament that so far the ministry had signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Shell Investments from September 2023 until

September 2028 of Tiisa farm in Ghanzi which will be used for training farmers.

He said the New Zealand partner would refurbish the training facility within three months of signing the MOA.

“This will be a training centre which will be used for training Ghanzi farmers and nearby Villages, he said.

Ghanzi South legislator Mr Motsamai Motsamai had wanted to know if the minister would consider dividing Xanagas research farm into a rural training centre since the current training centres were far away from Xanagas.
