Botswana Films Set to Premiere on Mzansi Magic

Africa-Press – Botswana. Three locally produced films, Route 2, Abashwe, and The Prophet, will debut exclusively on Mzansi Magic channel on DStv this November. The films are produced by Botswana filmmakers Afentse Lekolwane, Johnson Otlaadisa and Tumelo Chaba, marking a significant step for the country’s growing presence in the African film and television industry.

The premieres follow Botswana’s first DStv film release in 2024, reinforcing the nation’s expanding contribution to the continent’s entertainment landscape. Each film explores unique aspects of Batswana culture, stories, and perspectives, offering audiences authentic local narratives.
