Africa-Press – Cape verde. Vulcânico defeated Desportivo de Cova Figueira by 3-1 today, maintaining the isolated lead in the regional football competition, in Fogo, on the 13th round of the competition.
As Inforpress advances, Vulcânico, who came from a defeat against Académica, in the championship, and another against No Pintcha, in the Fogo Cup, and which led to the departure of the head coach, Mané de Luxuxa, returned to winning ways by defeating Desportivo de Cova Figueira, ranked last.
With the three points conquered, Vulcânico increases to four points the advantage over Académica, who plays on Sunday against ABC de Patim. But, regardless of the result of Académica, Vulcânico is still in the lead.
Vulcânico’s goals were scored by Adérito (two) and Gato while Desportivo’s goal of honor was scored by Djeury.

Botafogo, who also dismissed their head coach, Danilo Dinis, on their difficult trip to Mosteiros to face Cutelinho, managed to collect the three points thanks to the goal scored in the stoppage time.
With this, Botafogo returns to winning ways after the defeat to Grito Povo for the championship and to Valencia, on penalties.
In a well-contested game, the Botafogo team took advantage of an error by the Cutelinho goalkeeper, and Tá thanked him for the offer and scored the solitary goal, which gives the three points and keeps the Botafogo team in the race for the revalidation of the championship title regional.
Cutelinho, who has had a good performance in the regional championship, is thus further away in the race for the title, maintaining 24 points, six less than the leader, while Botafogo is three points behind.
In the other match counting for the 13th round played this Saturday at the São Lourenço field, the team from Unidos do Norte defeated Nô Pintcha dos Mosteiros by 2-0, thus maintaining the fifth position and with maintenance practically assured.
