Rtc's Board Affirms PCFR Result from Participatory Process

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The board of directors of Radiotelevisão Cabo-verdiana (RTC) clarified this Monday that the new Career, Functions and Remuneration Plan (PCFR) was approved by the State after a process of consultation with workers and unions.

This clarification comes in response to a complaint made this Sunday by the RTC Workers’ Commission, which contests the approval of the document, alleging a lack of dialogue and the maintenance of “labor injustices”.

In a statement sent to Inforpress, the management of the public company recalled that the PCFR was approved by the sole shareholder, the State, by Unanimous Written Resolution dated April 14, in full compliance with the company’s statutes.

According to the same source, the process included a one-month consultation phase, during which workers and unions could submit contributions. Clarification sessions were also held with the consultants responsible for drafting the regulations.

The board of directors assured that, after the consultation, the necessary adjustments were introduced.

He also mentions that, in a meeting held on April 10th to present the final version, no formal reservations were registered, and the decision was “positively received” and “applauded by several workers.”

The management body reaffirmed that the plan does not suffer from illegalities or unequal treatment, clarifying that the document applies exclusively to employees on the company’s payroll and not to service providers.

RTC’s administration concluded by reiterating its commitment to transparency and equity in the management of the public broadcaster’s human resources.
