Africa-Press – Cape verde. The mayor of Mosteiros, Fábio Vieira, celebrates today, in Praia, a preliminary protocol of collaboration and cooperation with his counterpart from Alzira (Spain), Diego Garcia.
The mayor of Mosteiros, who is in Praia, said that in the next few days a delegation from Alzira will visit the municipality of Mosteiros and, later, technicians from Mosteiros will travel to Alzira to identify opportunities for collaboration and cooperation.
“We are going to prioritize the education sector in terms of requalification of the entire municipal educational park”, said Fábio Vieira, assuring that the most strategic areas of this collaboration and cooperation will be those of strategic planning, management of solid urban waste, urban requalification, reinforcement of ‘accountability’ mechanism and reinforcement of the territorialisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The protocol will be implemented next August, on the occasion of the festivities in the municipality of Mosteiros, which are celebrated on the 15th of August, in which the mayor of Alzira will be one of the guests, said Fábio Vieira.
The same source noted that the preliminary protocol resulted from the dialogue process with the Consortium of La Ribera (Valencia, Spain) within the framework of the implementation of the Holistic Reinforcement for Sustainable Development project (Rehdes), in Água Grande (São Tomé and Príncipe), of which Mosteiros is a partner.
