Africa-Press – Cape verde. The director of the Blood Bank of the Agostinho Neto Hospital (HAN) advanced today that the stock of the blood bank is stable at the moment, but that we hope that the same is maintained throughout the year.
Linette Fernandes also stressed that they aim to reach 100 percent (%) of voluntary donors, with the goal of getting regular donors.

“This year, in addition to the tribute, we held an awards gala, with the aim of showing our recognition and the importance that blood donation has in people’s lives,” he added.
In addition to the honorees, the blood bank recognized the gesture of women who will donate blood in the year 2024 three times, which is the maximum number recommended for women.
He also praised the men who did this action four times, which is also the number advisable to men who wanted to donate blood.
The tribute was also extended to some companies that, according to Linette Fernandes, contributed to the awareness and importance of donating blood and saving lives.
“They are called silent heroes because they save people’s lives without even knowing them, so the tribute is to all donors,” said the director of the blood bank.
At the tribute gala, the Minister of Health, Jorge Figueiredo, was present at the event and also stressed the importance of blood donation and the contribution that various people and institutions have given to the blood bank, calling for the same to be strengthened.
