Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government announced that today it submitted to the Supreme Court of Justice a request to annul the ruling issued by the Arbitration Tribunal regarding the case with the concessionaire CV Interilhas, alleging that the decision is vitiated by illegalities and irregularities that warrant its judicial annulment.
According to a statement, it also stated that the amount claimed in court was never paid.
However, it requested calm and confidence, aware that it is its obligation to defend, at all times, the public interest, transparency, and an excellent public maritime transportation service.
It assured that it will create and promote all conditions for the continuous improvement of this service, as well as keep the country informed of all actions to be taken.
“The Government reaffirms its commitment to guaranteeing—under any circumstances—a regular, efficient, safe, and high-quality public maritime transportation service, unifying the islands and promoting the acceleration of their development,” it emphasized.
