Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Boa Vista City Hall announced this Wednesday the reinforcement of road signage in various parts of the island, with the restoration and installation of new traffic signs to improve traffic organization and safety.
According to Inforpress, citing a publication from the municipality, the intervention consists of replacing damaged or degraded traffic signs, as well as installing new traffic signs in areas considered critical or of new urban expansion in the city of Sal-Rei and its surroundings.
The city council justifies the measure with the need to ensure a “more fluid and orderly” circulation, highlighting that adequate signage is a “determining factor” for accident prevention and improved urban mobility.
The same source also emphasized that this action fulfills a long-standing demand from drivers and the local population, who have long requested a thorough intervention in road signage.
