ARME justifies this decrease with the decrease of 5.14%, 11.34%, 0.78%, 2.59%, 2.73%, 2.80%, 2.56% and 2.45%, respectively, the prices of Butane, Gasoline, Petroleum, Normal Diesel, Electricity Diesel, Marine Diesel, Fuel Oil 380 and Fuel Oil 180, in the domestic market.

customs tariff

ARME recalls, on the other hand, that for the present fuel price update, Law no. and the Special Consumption Tax (ICE) rates, included in the Customs Tariff, approved by Law No. 49/IX/2019, of 27 February.

“The aforementioned law also reduces the DI rate on Gasoline, from 20% to 10%, as well as on Fuel 180 and 380, from 5% to 0%, respectively, and also reduces the ICE rate on the Diesel and Gasoline, changing from 10% to the specific price of 6$00 (six escudos) per litre, and takes effect from July 1 to December 31, 2022”, he adds.

Also taken into account, according to the same source, was the change in the premium provided for in the Product Import Contract, entered into between the oil companies and the supplier, in February 2022, from 76.25 to 86 USD/MT, for the Diesel, and from 49 to 73 USD/MT, for Fuel Oil, for a period of three months, between August and October 2022.
