National Women's Football: Llana wins Championship for the 2nd time

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Sal Llana’s team won this Saturday, for the second time, the Cape Verde Women’s national championship, after defeating ADEC by 2-0.

In the final, played at Estádio 25 de Julho, in Santa Cruz, the São Miguel team came in better, creating, through Ticha and Suzy, two opportunities to score, but it was the Salenses, against the current of the game, to open the scoring.

In the 35th minute, Kelisa, with a cross shot, after Joyce’s pass, opened the scoring and five minutes later, Geisy, with a cross shot, made it 2-0, the result of the first half.

In the regular stage, the ADEC team entered without the lucidity of the first half and only brought danger to Llana’s goal in the set pieces.

Succeeds Seven Stars

On the other hand, Llana’s team took advantage of the greater experience of their players to withstand the result and maintain the 2-0, achieved in the first half.

Llana’s team thus repeats the feat of 2018 when they beat the Seven Stars in the final, and ADEC loses in its first presence in the final of the national women’s football championship.

Captain Janice Lima received from the hands of the first lady, Débora Carvalho, the cup that consecrated Llana as champion of Cape Verde, succeeding Seven Stars.
