Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Police announced this Monday, the 4th, that it will forward the report involving the alleged disappearance of a 6-year-old girl in the city of Praia to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Through a press release, the PN reported that the girl whose disappearance was reported by her mother on Facebook, spent the weekend with family in Assomada and returned to Praia accompanied by her aunt.
The mother instructed that the girl be put in a taxi to meet her at the gate of the Capelinha School, in Fazenda.
However, says the same source, the driver got confused about the drop-off location and, without contacting the aunt, decided to take the girl to her father, according to instructions given by the child herself.
“The National Police informs that the child is already with her mother and that all the usual procedures, in cases involving minors, are being followed and that the report will be reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office”, it assured.
The mother of the minor posted on Facebook on Monday morning that her daughter had disappeared in a clandestine red taxi. The post was widely shared, with many people helping in the search for the child.
In an interview with Record Cabo Verde, the mother explained that a cousin put the girl in a vehicle that provides illegal taxi services, while she waited at the door of the Capelinha school, in Fazenda. However, the child did not reach her destination.
