Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Communities, Jorge Santos, announced this Wednesday, the 28th, in Luanda, that the process of acquiring nationality for descendants of Cape Verdeans in Angola will start shortly and highlighted the “good integration” of them in that country.
Jorge Santos, who has been in Angola since Wednesday the 28th for a week’s visit, pointed out, according to a government note, the need to reinforce the process of regularization of Cape Verdeans.
On the other hand, he highlighted the brotherhood, reciprocal trust, and blood ties that link Cape Verdeans and Angolans, as well as the “special” relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The first day of the visit was marked by institutional meetings, having been received by the Minister of the Interior of Angola, Eugénio Laborinho, with whom he addressed issues related to cooperation, security and specialized training, prevention and fight against crime.
