Beach/Last minute: Bestfly ATR banned by AAC from taking off due to lack of corrective actions

Africa-Press – Cape verde. Bestfly’s ATR, registration D2, from Angola, was banned from taking off from Praia airport by the Civil Aviation Agency of Cape Verde (AAC) at the end of this afternoon. In question will be corrective measures requested by the AAC, not implemented by the company.

According to a source from A NAÇÃO, the aircraft was preparing to take off from the sign at Praia airport, when it was stopped by the AAC.

As far as we know, at stake is the fact that the company did not apply corrective actions in audits and inspections carried out by the AAC.

Until further notice, the device is prohibited from taking off.

It should be recalled that just last week, the AAC came to publicly clarify why the Embraer 190 has not yet been certified to operate commercial flights, stating that the company did not deliver all the documents requested to obtain the OAC (air operator certificate for flying in Cape Verde), and that it had been Bestfly itself that suspended the request, as published in Edition number 795 of Jornal A NAÇÃO.
