BestFly promises to stabilize interisland operations by early summer

Africa-Press – Cape verde. BestFly guaranteed today that TICV’s Air Operator Certificate (AOC) was not canceled at any time and that its renewal is scheduled for July 2024 and guaranteed that at this moment the main objective is to ensure that its operation is stabilized by beginning of summer 2024.

In the statement, BestFly World Wide recognizes the challenges faced by TICV’s operation in Cape Verde and reiterates its commitment to the continuity of services in the country.

According to the same source, the company is currently making adjustments to its strategy in Cape Verde, including changes in management and technical aspects, aiming to correct and overcome the challenges faced so far.

“At this moment, BestFly World Wide’s main objective is to ensure that its operation in Cape Verde is stabilized by the beginning of summer 2024, guaranteeing a quality service, improving punctuality and reinforcing the reliability and predictability of the connections provided for the company”, it reads.

BestFly World Wide also informs that ticket sales are already underway for the IATA 2024 Summer schedule and that it is working to meet demands and guarantee the necessary number of flights.

“The delay in the commercialization of these tickets was not related to the operational action of TICV, and was exclusively due to the delay in the issuance of slots by Cabo Verde Airports, due to works planned for airports in the country”, it states .

It should be noted that this Saturday Inforpress announced that the Air Senegal plane, ATR 72-600 6V ASN, which will operate domestic flights in Cape Verde, under the responsibility of TACV, is already in Cape Verde, after receiving authorization from the Agency of Civil Aviation (AAC).

According to an AAC document, dated February 21, 2024, to which Inforpress had access, the aircraft with the aforementioned registration number (6V ASN) is authorized to operate until the month of May, only for the Praia, Sal, São Vicente and Boa Vista.
