BNCV republishes five works by Cabo Verdean authors – “Chuva Braba” and “Contra Mar e Vento” are the first

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Chairman of the board of directors of the National Library of Cabo Verde (BNCV) announced on Tuesday the republishing of at least three to five titles of Cabo Verdean authors which are not available on the market.

Matilde Santos made the announcement in statements today to the press during the signing of the agreement with the Post Office and after being questioned about the books republishing announced by BNCV in 2019, but which have passed to 2021 and now it will be possible in 2022.

“One of them will be already in the coming months, because we are in the last phase of review and it is Chuva Braba by Manuel Lopes, and the other one is the Contra Mar e Vento by Teixeira de Sousa”, she said, also highlighting the edition of other books throughout the year.

As a BNCV mission, the institute wants, according to the one responsible, to contribute to the promotion of the book and reading and bring to the public the classic Cabo Verdeans exhausted.
