Africa-Press – Cape verde. The city council of Boa Vista inaugurated this Thursday a car park for hiaces at the entrance of Sal Rei, a project valued at 700 million escudos. (7,011,620 USD)
“The inauguration of a park for stopping and parking of min bus is an old demand of the drivers and the city council is working to respond to these demands of the operators and providers of the transport service on the island,” said Councillor Abel Ramos, in his speech at the inauguration.
According to the official, with this, people will now have places to sit in the shade while they wait for transport calmly, and it will allow greater safety, order and working conditions for the professionals of this type of transport and for traffic, decongesting the city centre.
To the satisfaction of the island’s drivers, the mayor assured that the city council plans to continue with this type of work in the city, building car parks for taxis and buses, while also aiming to extend this project to other locations on the island.
