Africa-Press – Cape verde. Even without a coach, Cape Verdean international David Pina won again in the African Boxing Championship. The boxer was stronger and beat Mozambican athlete Iva Nhaguiombe yesterday afternoon. David Pina thus qualifies for the quarter-finals.
At the end of the fight, in statements to the International Boxing Association (IBA) channel on Youtube, the athlete from Santiago Cruz said that he had a “good” fight against a very “strong” opponent.
David Pina reiterated, however, his conviction to win the gold medal in this African championship.
“I’m already in the quarter-finals and I’m here for the gold medal”, said David Pina, who is in Mozambique without a coach.
In his debut match, David Pina beat Zambian Kelvin Hachilala with maximum points.
