According to Inforpress, which cites the municipality, the distribution of these “Christmas gifts” to low-income families in the municipality is part of the “Christmas for all” program, which runs from December 3 to 28, and which aims to promote social inclusion, solidarity and well-being of citizens.
The rehabilitated houses belong to families residing in the towns of Atalaia and Ribeira do Ilhéu (north) and Relvas (south). The five bathrooms belong to families from Atalaia, Feijoal and Mosteiros Trás.
This action represents a global investment of approximately five thousand escudos by the municipality.
