Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verde national football team rose six positions in the FIFA ranking, updated today. The Blue Sharks are ranked 13th in Africa and 66th globally with 1,354.65 points.
The two victories of the Cape Verdean team, against Etswani and Burkina Faso, which qualified for CAN’2023, to be held in January next year in Ivory Coast, boosted Cape Verde’s rise in the ranking.
Cape Verde continues to be the third best ranked selection of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), surpassed by Brazil and Portugal, remains positioned ahead of Equatorial Guinea (91st), Guinea Bissau (111th), Angola (114th ), Mozambique (117th), Sao Tome and Principe (187th) and East Timor (195th).
The leadership of the FIFA ‘ranking’ continues to be Argentina, followed by France and Brazil, which form the “Top 3”.
