Cape Verde Embassy in Lisbon is looking for relatives of Mário Monteiro Tavares who died in Santarém

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Embassy of Cape Verde in Lisbon (Portugal) is asking for support from Cape Verdeans in order to locate family members of Mário Monteiro Tavares, a Cape Verdean citizen, homeless, who has since died. Mário Monteiro Tavares was admitted to health care in Santarém, a city close to Lisbon, 80 km away.

According to information provided by the Embassy of Cape Verde in Lisbon, Mário Monteiro Tavares, born in São Salvador do Mundo, a municipality in the interior of the island of Santiago, is the son of Martinho Monteiro Tavares and Emília Monteiro Lopes.

Mário Monteiro Tavares was homeless and admitted to health care in Santarém, a city located in central Portugal and close to the capital, Lisbon, 80 km away.

Taking into account his death and in order to proceed with the burial of this Cape Verdean citizen, the funeral agency needs to locate the whereabouts of his relatives in order to authorize the ceremony at the Santarém cemetery.
