Africa-Press – Cape verde. About 14 boxers represent Cape Verde at the African Boxing Championship, in June, in Cameroon. The Cape Verdean coach, Adilson Varela, is already working in Cidade da Praia with those pre-selected to form the national team.
According to the schedule, the Cabo Verdean Boxing Federation will hold a pre-elimination round on the 27th and 28th of May at the Vavá Duarte sports pavilion, involving candidates from the sporting regions of Santiago Sul, Santiago Norte, São Vicente and, probably from Boa Vista.
Members of the national team are due to enter a final stage scheduled to start on the 29th of this month.
Cape Verde intends to take 14 boxers to the African Championship, in Cameroon, of which 11 are men, in different categories, and three are women, and the entourage is being designed to accommodate two coaches (main and assistant).
