Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INMG) warned today of the influence of a tropical wave associated with a low-pressure center that will affect the weather throughout the archipelago between August 30th and September 2nd.

According to the forecast, starting on the afternoon of Friday, August 30th, drizzle and light rain are expected, with moderate rainfall possible in some areas of the Sotavento region.

On Saturday, the 31st, rainfall may also affect some islands in the Western Barlavento region, namely São Nicolau, São Vicente, and Santo Antão.

Light to moderate rain is expected on September 1st and 2nd, with greater intensity in the Sotavento islands.

The sea will experience northeasterly/northern waves with heights ranging from 1.0 to 2.5 meters, locally accompanied by southeasterly waves. In the southern coastal areas and inter-island areas, a decrease in rough seas is expected.

Meteorological authorities recommend paying attention to weather conditions, especially for those traveling by sea or engaging in outdoor activities.
