Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Cape Verdean international Délcio Pina, player of the Marítimo Andebol SAD team of the first Portuguese league of the modality, was distinguished with the award for best scorer of the championship in the 2022/2023 season. Délcio scored a total of 201 goals.
Délcio Ricardo Moreno Pina, 31 years old, born on the island of Santiago, is an international A for Cape Verde, having participated in the 2021 and 2023 handball world cups.
The full-back scored 201 goals in 25 games this season, an average of 8 goals per game. Délcio has 32 more goals than the runner-up.
Renewed contract
Marítimo Andebol SAD also confirms that Délcio Pina has renewed his contract with the Madeiran team for another two years.
“Délcio Pina is well integrated in the Autonomous Region of Madeira and along with his family they have found the right balance for success and family growth” the statement reads.
It should be noted that the former ABC da Praia player will once again be with the Blue Sharks in the men’s Handball African Cup to be played in January, in Cairo, Egypt.
Cape Verde qualified automatically for being African runner-up.
