Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdean artist Lisandro Cuxi will represent Cape Verde at the Afronation 2024 festival taking place from the 26th to the 28th of June in Algarve, Portimão, Portugal.
Son of Cape Verdean parents, born in Portugal and residing in France, the author of the hit “Karma” promises to represent Cape Verdean culture at Afronation, one of the biggest festivals in Portugal and takes place every year at Praia da Rocha in Portimão in last week of June.
“ Come on family! Cape Verde, I will represent our culture ”, wrote the musician on his official page.
Qualified as the largest ‘Afrobeats’ festival in the world, the event brings together several renowned artists. This year will be no different, with names like Nicki Minaj, Dadju, Tayc, Rema and Asake on the list.
Lisandro Cuxi has stood out in the music scene, winning several awards, including Best Artist from Lusophone Africa at the Trace Awards 2023 and Best Kizomba and Male Performer of the Year at the Cabo Verde Music Awards (CVMA) 2023.
