Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Children’s Villages SOS Cabo Verde propose to create a solidarity fund for the protection of children, aiming to finance the civil society organizations initiatives working focused on the protection and promotion of children’s rights.
Speaking to Inforpress, the National Director, Dionísio Pereira, explained that the proposal is part of the Action Plan for the Cooperation Agreement between the Children’s Villages SOS Cabo Verde and the National Assembly, which will be signed this Tuesday, on the sidelines of the visit made by the President of the Parliamentary House to the institution.
For this responsible, this is a relevant issue and could contribute to financing the civil society organisations initiatives working focused on the protection and promotion of children’s rights, and in many circumstances the lack of financial resources to enforce children’s rights has been claimed.
This agreement also includes the parental accountability campaign the Aldeia SOS intends to carry out at national level, because many parents are not assuming their responsibilities and from a legal point of view there are some shortcomings that need to be addressed.
