Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Civil Aviation Agency (AAC) confirmed this Thursday that there is no company called Bestfly Cabo Verde operating in the country and guaranteed that the E190-E1 device is not registered in the national aeronautics data.
The Cape Verdean aviation regulator reacted in this way to a news item published by Inforpress and in which the news agency cites a news item published by the Brazilian aviation website, which stated that Bestfly Cabo Verde’s Embraer 190 aircraft will be loaned to a African airline without ever having flown in the country.
According to the AAC press release, there is no company called Bestfly in Cape Verde, but the only ones authorized by the agency to operate and hold an Air Exploration License and Air Operator Certificate are Transportes Interilhas de Cabo Verde. (TICV) and Transportes Aéreos de Cabo Verde (TACV).
On the other hand, according to the same source, the device which, according to Aeroin would be registered with registration number D4-BFE (msn19000102), “was de-registered” from the National Aeronautical Register of Cape Verde last November 2023 upon request from Lessor, the owner of the aircraft.
“This procedure was carried out in accordance with current regulations and under the supervision of the AAC, and the aforementioned aircraft is currently registered in Aruba”, he asserted.
AAC completed the clarification by listing the registrations of four aircraft, two belonging to TICV and others belonging to TACV that are in the national aeronautical register.
