Classic cartoon “Tintin in Tibeti” already has translation in Cabo Verdean language

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The classic cartoon “Tintin in Tibet”, created by the Belgian Georges Prosper Remi in the first decades of the 20th century, was presented Wednesday in its translation into Creole by Nicolas Quint and Aires Semedo at the University of Cabo Verde.

In A4 format, the Creole version of this cartoon was born from the initiative of the research director of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) of France, Nicolas Quint, referred to as one of the most respected scholars of the Cabo Verdean language, as the author of several works of linguistics, including grammars, dictionaries and Cabo Verdean learning manual, with publications in several languages.

Nicolas Quint had once again the partnership of the Cabo Verdean translator Aires Semedo, they are also translators for CaboVerdean of the classic French literature “Le Petit Prince” – Prispinhu.

To the press, Nicolas Quint told that it is intended with the translation of this emblematic work, edited in the amount of 1500 copies, to value Creole, convinced that good dissemination can be essential not only for promoters, but especially for the Creole language.
