Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Council of Ministers approved, this Monday, the Career, Functions and Remuneration Plan (PCFR) of the Judiciary Police (PJ), a decree aimed at improving the working conditions of employees of all categories within the institution.
According to a press release, the approval of the PCFR includes significant improvements in terms of salary and other benefits, contributing to professional development and strengthening the motivation of the Judiciary Police staff.
Also according to the same source, throughout this year the PJ has benefited from a reinforcement of human resources, with the hiring of 36 new officers, as well as increased continuous training for agents and the re-equipping of facilities and laboratories.
The statement also highlights the participation of the Judiciary Police in international conferences and meetings, namely the Interpol General Assembly, held in Marrakech, Morocco, and a high-level meeting promoted by the Netherlands and the Global Initiative, in Accra, Ghana.
These collaborations, the ministry says, allow for greater alignment in detecting new forms of crime, sharing combat methodologies, and applying advanced technologies, strengthening the country’s capacity to face emerging challenges in the field of criminal justice.
The Ministry of Justice assures that it is working continuously to guarantee better working conditions for employees of all services under its supervision. In this context, the Statutes of Magistrates and the Career Plans for Judicial Officers and the Judicial Police have already been approved.
The Career Plans for Registry, Notary and Identification services, Prison Security Agents, and Social Reintegration Services Technicians are also currently being drafted, with completion expected by March 2026.
