Africa-Press – Cape verde. CV Interilhas announced this Thursday, the 6th, an additional R$ 500,000 for the modernization of the Dona Tututa ship, aiming to further enhance the operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability of its fleet.
“Renewed commitment to excellent service in maritime operations in Cape Verde, with the modernization of the ship’s automation and control system,” CV Interilhas emphasized in a statement sent to Asemana online.
According to the shipping company, this new financial investment reflects its conviction, as the concessionaire of the public service of inter-island passenger and cargo maritime transport, to equip its ships with the highest standards of reliability, quality, and safety.
“The future of Cape Verde depends on safe and uninterrupted maritime connections, serving all the islands. With this investment, we reinforce the operational availability of the Dona Tututa, which is intended to continue to be a pillar of trust, innovation, and sustainability, serving the country 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” the statement reads.
CV Interilhas highlights the rigor, experience, and technical knowledge of the naval engineering team of the ETE Group in Cape Verde (S&C Cabo Verde) as the guarantee of the operational availability rates of CV Interilhas’ ships, which, according to the company, have registered operational availability values above 93% in the last two years, respectively 95.9% in 2023 and 91.3% in 2024.
These indicators, according to the company, reflect the reliability of the ships and the functioning of a 24/7 operation that promotes the country’s connectivity and mobility.
“More than a ship, the Dona Tututa is a symbol of our commitment to sustainable development and national territorial cohesion. Modernizing is protecting the present and preparing the future of Cape Verde,” it concluded.
