Africa-Press – Cape verde. CVTelecom, through Ficase, will finance ten scholarships for higher education, in the country’s educational institutions, from the school year 2022/2023, to young students from economically disadvantaged families.
Thus, CVTelecom and Ficase (Cabo Verdean Foundation of School Social Action) initialed on Tuesday, in Praia, an agreement aimed at this budgeted financing in the annual amount of 1.800.000 escudos (one million eight hundred thousand escudos) for 4 years and which is part of the implementation of CVTelecom’s sustainability strategy (Social Pillar, Education/Vocational Training), thus helping Ficase in fulfilling its mission.
The chairman of the board of directors of CVTelecom, João Domingos Correia, said that CVTelecom, as a national company, feels responsible to contribute for the country’s development process.
He argued at the time that, of the areas he considers “most important” for the progress of a country – education and health, believes that education comes first.
