Africa-Press – Cape verde. The documentary “Cesária Évora”, by writer and journalist Ana Sofia Fonseca, debuts in Cape Verde, this Tuesday, with a screening in São Vicente, the singer’s birthplace, and then will be shown in Santo Antão and Santiago.

The information is contained in a note issued by the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries (MCIC), which states that the premiere will take place in December, “month of morna” and this year marks the 11th anniversary of the physical disappearance of Cesária Évora.

In São Vicente, the exhibitions take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the courtyard of the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design – CNAD, at 20:00, and on Friday, it will be shown in Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão, in Terreiro at 20:00.

In the city of Praia, the exhibition takes place on Saturday at 20:00, and Sunday, at the National Assembly, and on Sunday, there are two sessions, one at 16:00 and another at 18:00.
