Africa-Press – Cape verde. The “Fazenda da Esperança” therapeutic community will hold a charity concert at the National Assembly on April 2nd, whose revenue received will serve to complete another shelter.
For four years welcoming young users of alcohol and other drugs in Cabo Verde, this therapeutic community already has two houses, which normally serves 40 young people, but according to the head of the Center, Father Ronaldo Bernardo, there is a greater number of requests.
“So we started building a house, but we faced difficulties to complete it, so some volunteers from the Fazenda had the initiative to hold a charity concert. The interesting thing is that we didn’t have the idea of how many artists would join the show,” he explained.
He pointed out as one of the great challenges for the Fazenda Esperança at this moment is its expansion, its maintenance, because it works through a “good group of volunteers”, who help to get foodstuffs, hygiene material, cleaning, because, the Fazenda works with criteria such as spirituality, coexistence and work.
