Africa-Press – Cape verde. The car belonging to actor César Lélis, from the Juventude em Marcha theater company, was partially destroyed by a fire that occurred on Wednesday night, the Porto Novo Volunteer Fire Department reported today.

The commander of the Porto Novo Fire Department, Balbino Gomes, explained to Inforpress that the car was parked in front of the experimental design and craft center in Alto Peixinho, in the city of Porto Novo, when the fire started.

Firefighters arrived in time to extinguish the flames before the car was completely destroyed, the same source quoted by Inforpress stated.

César Lélis ruled out the possibility of arson, admitting the possibility of a short circuit in the vehicle’s electrical system, which would have caused the flames.

This actor, who is very popular with the people of Porto Novo, said he has no problems with people, so he doesn’t believe the fire was arson.

“That’s what I told the police,” the actor emphasized.

In any case, the National Police registered the incident and should launch an investigation to determine the causes of the fire.
