Africa-Press – Cape verde. The investment program of Empresa Intermunicipal de Águas (Águabrava) for the financial year of 2023 amounts to 212 million escudos (CVE) and will be supported with financial resources from the company itself, said the managing director, Rui Évora.
After the approval of activity and investment plans and Águabrava’s budget for 2023, at the last meeting of the board of directors, the managing director highlighted investments such as the construction of a pumping station from the head of Avenue in Nova Sintra to the Reservoir of Risco Vermelho, on Brava Island, the execution of two more holes as part of the drilling campaign on Fogo Island.
He also highlighted, within the framework of the investment program, the construction of the solar park for the two boreholes carried out in the north zone with an installed capacity of 60 KWA, the replacement of electromechanical equipment, installation of the telemetry and video surveillance system, as well as the extension of the network of water distribution, mainly in the municipality of Mosteiros and part of the municipality of São Filipe following the implementation of the project to adopt water to Campanas de Cima.
In turn, operating revenues for 2023 are projected at around 341 million escudos (CVE), representing an increase of 8% compared to the projected value for 2022, he said.
