Africa-Press – Cape verde. The release of funds promised to the families of Chã das Caldeiras beneficiaries of the project to build their own homes in the new Bangaeira settlement is done upon presentation of proof, said Alberto Nunes.
The mayor of Santa Catarina do Fogo, told Inforpress that the process is not stopped and that the families who presented proof of the use of the first tranche, worth 100 thousand escudos, are working because the value has been replaced.
“The system for unblocking the funds depends on the presentation of proof”, said Alberto Nunes, assuring that the beneficiary who received the 100 thousand and presented proof the value was replaced and that the beneficiaries who also received the 100 thousand of the first tranche and who presented justifications in the higher value, the amount was replaced, adding that those who still did not justify did not receive more values.
Alberto Nunes noted that the overall amount promised by the Government (600 contos) and the city council (100 contos) is 700 contos, which will be paid in instalments upon presentation of supporting documents.
