Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Centre of Employment and Professional Training began on Monday, June 5th, training activities for beneficiaries of rural tourism villages on the islands of Fogo and Brava, as part of the Programme for Tourism and Environmental Enhancement of Rural Villages.
The director of the Centre of Employment and Professional Training of Fogo and Brava, Carlos Lopes, said that in total there were four training courses in the villages of Pai António (Mosteiros), Chã das Caldeiras (Santa Catarina) and Campanas de Cima (São Filipe), all on Fogo island, and Fajã d’Água, on Brava island.
In total 90 people of the four rural tourist villages benefit from the training action, 30 from Chã das Caldeiras and 20 for each of the other three villages, namely Pai António, Campanas de Cima and Fajã d’Água.
With this initiative we hope to contribute to the creation of new business opportunities and to the growth of tourism projects in these villages.
