Africa-Press – Cape verde. A patient in a condition that aspires to care was sent on the afternoon of Monday, 10, to the Agostinho Neto University Hospital (HUAN), in Praia, on a charter flight.
The patient is one of five injured in the road accident that occurred early Saturday night near the north of the city of São Filipe and, according to the clinical director of the São Francisco de Assis Regional Hospital, Dionisio Semedo, “after complementary tests it was decided for his transfer to Cidade da Praia”.
On Sunday, the 9th, another casualty had been referred to HUAN on a commercial flight with a mandible injury, and the other was waiting for a Computed Axial Tomography (CAT) scan to be carried out to clarify the diagnosis, with the hospital management having approved his transfer, given the clinical situation.
The accident, which resulted in five injuries, two of which have already been taken to HUAN in Praia, took place on Saturday night, 8th, when an open-top vehicle collided with a protective curtain as it failed to make the turn.
