Africa-Press – Cape verde. The national football team has scheduled three friendly matches for the end of March, the president of the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF) confirmed on Wednesday.
Speaking to Radio of Cape Verde (RCV), Mário Semedo reported that the first match will be on March 23, with Guadeloupe, to be held in France, the second one on the 25th, with Liechtenstein, and the third on the 28th, with San Marino, the latter two to take place in Spain.
Mário Semedo added that these friendly matches are part of the preparation for the qualifying matches for the next African Cup of Nations (CAN), to be held in 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire, and that they will be important for the integration of new players.
The top national football official said, however, that these invitations arose following Cabo Verde’s performance at CAN 2021, held in Cameroon.
