Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Travadores beat Académica da Praia by 2-1 today, at Estádio da Várzea, taking the lead in the South Santiago regional football championship, with 35 points.

Lacraia, from Académica da Praia, opened the scoring with an own goal, then Alvinho made it 2-0 and Paulo reduced, with a penalty.
With this 2-1 result, Travadores lead the championship, with 35 points, two more than Académica, which suffered its first defeat in the championship and lost the lead.
In the first match of the afternoon, Unidos do Norte beat Tira Chapéu, by 1-0, and started to add 12 points, moving away from the relegation zone.
