Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verde participates in the Para-Athletics World Championship with four athletes, in the 100, 200 and 400 meters and javelin throwing modalities. The competition takes place from the 8th to the 17th of July in Paris, France.
As Inforpress advances, the Cape Verdean international resident in Portugal Gracelino Barbosa, the most medaled of Cape Verdean Paralympic athletes, with several world titles, will compete in the 400 meters dash, T20 class, while Marilson Semedo, another great reference Cape Verdean of the modality, will be in the javelin throw, class F57.
Heidilene Oliveira, an athlete with low vision, and her guide Jailson Oliveira, will compete in the 100, 200 and 400 meters dash, class T12.
The Cape Verdean delegation travels to France on July 2nd, with San Vicente athlete Heidilene Oliveira and the guide already training at the National Stadium in Achada de São Filipe, in the city of Praia, along with Marilson Fernandes.
