Africa-Press – Cape verde. The delegate from the Ministry of the Sea for the South Region told Inforpress that the Government will deliver a set of equipment for fish handlers by the end of this month, guaranteeing that they have already acquired them.
Vera Gominho spoke in an interview with Inforpress as part of the celebration of the National Fisherman’s Day celebrated on February 5, in all fishing towns in Cape Verde, under the motto “We Love the Sea”.
As informed by Vera Gominho, the Government has already acquired these materials for the kit, which will be delivered by the end of this month, intended for young fish handlers who work in this sector at the Praia Fishing Pier, for the treatment and hygiene of the fisheries.
“Right now we are waiting for the company that was selected to deliver this imported equipment, so we are having this delay in the delivery of these materials”, explained the delegate.
