Africa-Press – Cape verde. Four teams are looking this weekend to remain in the first division of the South Santiago regional football championship, in games of the 22nd and final round of the competition, to be played at Estádio da Várzea.
Unidos do Norte, Relâmpago, both with 15 points, Vitória (17 points) and Tira Chapéu, with 14 points, escape the division relegation, which already has confirmation from Benfica.
Who goes down and who stays
The most difficult task falls to Tira-Chapéu, who, if they lose to Académica, a match scheduled for Saturday, 15th, will be relegated from the division on their return year.
Vitória, who need a draw to guarantee maintenance, face Boavista da Praia, a team that, in turn, needs to win to guarantee the second position in the leaderboard.
The Unidos do Norte face the “relegated” Benfica, scheduled for Thursday, 13th, at Estádio da Várzea, and Relâmpago face Celtic.
In the other games of this round, Sporting will play with Bairro and the regional champions, Travadores, will face Desportivo da Praia, a match that will close the Santiago Sul regional football championship, season 2022-2023.
