Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Free Union of Workers of Santo Antão (SLTSA) holds this Saturday, 30th, in Porto Novo, its fifth ordinary regional conference focusing on the socio-labor and political-union situation and the impacts of the current crisis on employment.
As main items on the agenda, the report on the activities of the outgoing director, between 2019-2022, and the election of new directors for the 2022-2025 term will be discussed.
The event will also pay posthumous tributes to trade unionists, according to a note sent to the press, which adds that the conference will be attended by the Coordinator of the Platform Unite and Rescue the National Union of Workers – Trade Union Central (UNTC-CS) and chairman of the board. Union of Industry, Security, Agriculture and Fisheries (SDISCAP), Eliseu Tavares. The permanent secretary of the SLTSA, Carlos Bartolomeu, has already announced his reapplication for his own succession.
