Institute for the Prevention and Investigation of Aeronautical and Maritime Accidents signs agreement with Angolan counterpart

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Institute for Prevention and Investigation of Aeronautical and Maritime Accidents (IPIAAM) signed, on Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding with its Angolan counterpart Institute for Investigation and Prevention of Transport Accidents of the Republic of Angola (INIPAT).

According to a note from IMPIAAM, sent to Inforpress, the memorandum, which will be signed in the meeting room of the Ministry of the Sea, aims at understanding for the purposes of cooperation and mutual assistance related to the prevention and investigation of accidents, in the areas of action of both institutions, joining efforts to put into practice rules and procedures in the field of transport.

The agreement also aims to contribute to the training of its researchers through technical exchanges, adequate training and continuous sharing of information.

IPIAAM is the national authority responsible for the prevention and investigation of aviation and maritime accidents. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Sea, Abraão Vicente.
