Africa-Press – Cape verde. Luxembourg will support Cape Verde with around 600 Million Cape Verdean Escudos (CVE) to finance access to professional training for more young Cape Verdeans this year, announced this Thursday, in Praia, the person in charge of the Office of the Embassy business in the archipelago.

Thomas Barbancey gave this information during his speech on the sidelines of the Joint Steering Committee (COPIL) of the Employment and Employability Axis of the Indicative Cooperation Program “Development – Climate – Energy” Cape Verde – Luxembourg (2021-2025).

According to this official, employment and employability constitute the main sector of concentration of Luxembourgish support to Cape Verde, emphasizing, in this sense, that the support implemented by Lux-Development in partnership with the different entities of the sector, headed by the Directorate-General of Employment, aims to be structuring.

To this end, he continued, the technical team made available has the mission of contributing to the strengthening of governance capacities and the implementation of policies to promote the employability and employment of young Cape Verdeans.
