Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of the Sea, Abraão Vicente, held a meeting with fishermen and fishmongers to publicize the Government’s policy, which covers a credit line and incentives for the sector.
The intention, according to the Minister, is the formalization of this economic activity so that the class can be included in the career and the National Institute for Social Security (INPS) system and can get own retirement.
Abraão Vicente also informed fishermen and fishmongers that, within the scope of the credit lines created in the economic recovery plan for the artisanal and semi-industrial fishing sector, these include, among “various supports”, one hundred percent for the fibering of the boats and the installation of winches in the main fishing areas of the country.
The program also includes for the island of Maio the rehabilitation of the shelter in the port docks, as well as the financing of fifty percent to fishermen who want to acquire vessels or outboard engines.
