Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison for Drug Trafficking and Theft

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Brava District Court sentenced a male individual to eight years in prison this Friday for drug trafficking and qualified theft.

This information was provided to Inforpress today by a judicial source, who explained that the individual, aged 22, lived in Nova Sintra.

The same source also indicated that the Public Prosecutor’s Office yesterday ordered the preventive detention of a 27-year-old man, also suspected of drug trafficking.

The individual, also male and resident in the town of Cova de Joana, was arrested by the National Police, in flagrante delicto, and brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the first judicial interrogation, having been applied, as the most serious coercive measure, preventive detention.
