According to a statement from PN, in Mindelo, stolen products were also recovered.
“This arrest was carried out by crime prevention and combat teams, specially created with the aim of increasing response capacity, strengthening urban patrolling, preventing the commission of crimes against people and property and increasing citizens’ sense of security” , guaranteed the PN.
Robbery of a hotel
Following these operations, he added, last week three individuals were also caught during a robbery at a hotel in the center of the city.
In this case, some belongings of a tourist were also recovered, in addition to an amount of money of around 300 thousand escudos.
On Thursday morning, he continues, in a joint operation with the Judiciary Police, carried out in the center of the city of Mindelo, eight individuals were arrested in possession of narcotics, cold weapons and money.
