Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Movement for Democracy (MpD-ruling party), in the voice of the Secretary General (SG), Filomena Delgado, condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and argues that dialogue and diplomacy must prevail for peace.
“The MpD is against the use of force and condemns its in these situations and considers important there is a retreat so that diplomacy can gain enough ground for peace,” said the MpD’s SG, when urged by Inforpress to comment on the Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory.
The MpD, Filomena Delgado said, has been following the conflict between Ukraine and Russia for several days and the efforts the international diplomacy has made to solve the problem without the use of weapons. In her view, in this global world, “everything affects everyone” and therefore a “war situation will have consequences for the whole world”.
