Africa-Press – Cape verde. The City Hall of Ribeira Brava inaugurated this Tuesday the works of the municipal swimming pool, a project that aims to boost the teaching of swimming in the county.
To Inforpress, the mayor of Ribeira Brava, José Martins, said that it is also about the recovery of a heritage of the municipality.
“It was with some courage that we took this decision, despite the fact that the space was being occupied for another activity, but we understood that we should restore what was history, given the need for our citizens and our children to learn to swim”, he said.
The mayor also said that the municipality is working on the project to build two more municipal swimming pools in the “Boca Arbera” area.
